Admission to Primary Day
Welcome to The Primary Day School! Our school is the ideal place for young children who are bright, curious, and eager to learn. A Primary Day education develops vital learning skills, builds self-confidence and character, and fosters a love of learning during the critical early learning years. Our students grow as learners and as citizens, and at graduation they move on to achieve remarkable success in the region’s finest public and private schools.
Most students begin their Primary Day education in the Pre-Kindergarten program, though we also have openings each year in Kindergarten, First and Second Grades.
We base admission decisions on criteria that include school readiness, a child’s maturity, and teacher recommendations (if a child has previously been in a school environment). All applicants also take part in a required school visit, which helps us get to know your child in both a one-on-one and group setting.
We admit qualified applicants without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religious background, or national origin.
Financial aid supports many families with demonstrated financial need.
