This past weekend, as I read your children’s end of year reports, I was moved, as I always am at this time of year, by all the beautiful transformations that were documented. Thinking and learning styles have emerged as if from a chrysalis. Readers surfaced and moved ever upward. Confidence and social skills blossomed. Maturation in appreciation and application of our Primary Day values unfolded. Handwriting that once tentatively fluttered across the page more surely grew to its lines. Curiosity that was carefully nurtured exploded into full expression.
Sometimes it takes stepping back and conjuring up where your children started the year in order to appreciate the fullness of their school year metamorphosis. Two constants drove all this growth: your constant care, attention, and love; and their teacher’s constant care, attention, and love. When home and school work in concert, growth becomes exponential. Remarkable, stunning things have happened. That is the story of the 2024-25 school year for each of your children at Primary Day. It has been a special joy to witness all the maturation, hard work, and quiet moments that led to all this growth, and I wish you and your families a wonderful summer.
